Is it normal for leucorrhea to corrode underwear?

Vaginal secretions are normally slightly acidic and have a lubricating and protective effect, but will not corrode clothing. This condition is common in bacterial vaginosis, where the secretions contain more amines due to the overgrowth of anaerobic bacteria. Candida vaginitis may also cause changes in the composition of secretions, but corrosion is less common. Some women have increased secretions during ovulation. If they do not change their underwear in time, long-term contact may cause slight damage to the fabric, but this is essentially different from pathological corrosion.

It is recommended to choose cotton breathable underwear and change it daily, and avoid using alkaline lotions to rinse the vagina. Pay attention to daily cleaning of the perineum and wipe it from front to back after going to the toilet to prevent intestinal bacteria from contaminating the vagina.
