The most essential difference between the two is that their goal orientations are completely different. Specialized sports focus on a single event and do deep vertical cultivation. All training is centered around the technical requirements and competitive needs of this event. The ultimate goal is to become proficient in this event and even achieve results.; Physical fitness focuses on the comprehensive construction of the human body itself. It trains general basic sports abilities such as strength, endurance, coordination, flexibility, and reaction. The ultimate goal is to improve the body's adaptability to all sports and even daily behaviors, so as to reduce injuries and be more resilient.
To be honest, I have been teaching sports for almost eight years. I met too many people who couldn’t figure out the relationship between the two, so I went straight to the special field and ran into many pitfalls. Previously, a 10-year-old boy's parents dragged him to apply for table tennis, saying they wanted him to be a special student. After practicing for three months, his forehand movements were always crooked, and he complained of pain in his right shoulder every time he moved. Later, after recording the slow-motion video, he realized that the child's core strength was poor, and his footwork coordination could not keep up. He could swing the racket decently when he stood still, and when he caught a corner ball, he was shaking like a roly-poly, and he relied on his shoulders to compensate. Later, the class schedule was adjusted, with half specialization and half physical fitness. First, I practiced core stability and coordination of sliding steps. After only one and a half months, my movements were corrected immediately, and the shoulder pain no longer occurred. Another office worker friend just rushed to sign up for a boxing class in order to lose weight. After practicing twice, he twisted his waist and rested for more than half a month. His core had long been damaged by sitting for a long time. He relied on his waist to throw punches and had no idea how to use the core to transmit power. Later, he first practiced four-week physical fitness to activate the core and learned the basic force generation mode, and then started practicing boxing. Not to mention not getting injured, the fat burning efficiency was much higher than before.
Of course, not everyone in the circle now recognizes the value of physical fitness. Many special coaches feel that when I lead training, I already arrange physical fitness links such as warm-up and strength, so there is no need to learn physical fitness separately. There are also many ordinary enthusiasts who say that I just play football and run on weekends and do not play professional games, so I can't afford to spend the money. In fact, this is not wrong. If your demand is just to "move," and you don't want to play well and don't care about the risks of spraining your ankle or straining your feet, then there is really no need to make a special distinction. But if you want to take part in your hobbies, or your children are in the growth and development stage, or you usually sit for a long time and suddenly want to start exercising, the foundation of physical fitness cannot be supplemented by a special program.
To put it bluntly, it's like you buy a high-end computer to play AAA masterpieces. The specialization is the game you want to play, and physical fitness is your core hardware configuration such as graphics card, CPU, and memory. If you don't have enough configuration, no matter how fun the game is, it will either freeze in PPT or directly crash. This is exactly the same as when you practice specialization, your movements will be deformed and you will be easily injured. Of course, this does not mean that physical fitness can replace special events. If you really want to understand a certain event, you still have to focus on the technical details of the event. The two are originally related to lifting and deep cultivation, and there is no conflict at all.
