There is really no unified standard answer. Mild skin problems can disappear in three to five days, but serious chronic skin problems can take a year or two to stabilize. There are also many people.
I have seen two opposing views before. One group believes that "the skin has a 28-day metabolism cycle, and no matter what problem you have, you have to wait for one cycle to be effective." The other group believes that as long as you treat the symptoms, you can see improvement in a day or two. In fact, there is nothing wrong with both of these opinions. The core thing is to see what the problem is and whether you are following the right way of conditioning.
Last summer, I was chewing popsicles and blowing air conditioners for a week, and three red and swollen pimples broke out on my chin that were hard to the touch. I didn't use the powerful acne cream, so I applied some anti-inflammatory essence every day. I went to bed early and drank pumpkin porridge for three days. I quit sugar and dairy. By the fourth day, the pimples were almost gone, and the remaining red pimple marks disappeared in less than two weeks. But the year before last, I accompanied my best friend to adjust her face for hormones. She had blindly used a quick-acting whitening cream bought by an Internet celebrity on a friend circle to make it. When she first stopped using that cream, her face broke out in rashes and oozed yellow water. The rebound period lasted more than three months. After that, she gradually streamlined her skin care regimen for almost two years before she dared to use ordinary moisturizing skin care products.
In fact, skin conditioning is very similar to how we usually deal with minor problems. If you eat bad food and have diarrhea, you can recover in the same day by taking probiotics to warm your stomach. If you have chronic gastritis, you have to take care of it monthly and yearly to get better. The same is true for your skin. Take the most common acne as an example. Mild to moderate acne and inflammatory papules can be treated with some topical medications and adjusted to the symptoms. You can see the symptoms subside within a week. If it has developed into severe acne with cysts and nodules, the course of treatment must be half a year if oral medications are used, otherwise it is easy to relapse.
Many people are always anxious to get an accurate result. If they don’t see the effect after three to five days of conditioning, they immediately change products and add a bunch of whitening and anti-aging products. Instead, they put an extra burden on the skin. The skin should be cured in two weeks and become red when the season changes. I have seen too many times that it takes several months to get rid of the problem. If you really want to speed up your recovery, it is better to figure out where your problem lies first. Is it a temporary redness caused by acne breakouts, or is it a stain or chronic sensitivity that has been accumulated for several years? It is much more useful to stop fussing over it than to worry about when it will be better every day.
Oh, by the way, if there is no improvement at all or even gets worse after treatment for more than half a month, don’t force yourself to do it. Go to the dermatology department of a regular hospital to register as soon as possible. It is much more useful than blindly checking your homework.
