　　wrong. The only advantage of this method is that the nosebleeds will not flow to the floor, but it will not stop the nosebleeds. Instead, it will cause the nosebleeds to flow into the throat, and may even cause vomiting and suffocation.

　　The correct approach is to put a small cotton ball in the nostril of the nosebleed, gently press the nose, and tilt the head forward, or wrap an ice towel or a wet towel around the neck to stop the bleeding.
