All general links marked with "the only official entrance" are most likely to be phishing scam websites. Different types of psychological counseling-related examination results need to be checked through the respective sponsoring organization channels.

The page was exactly the same as the official website, and he almost paid a "priority check fee" of 199 yuan. Fortunately, he came to ask me first, so he didn't step into a trap. There are many such scam websites now, and they are designed to prey on people who are eager to wait for their results after taking the exam. If they pop up and ask you to enter your bank card number, pay a "verification fee" or "score change fee", just close the page. All official score checking channels are free, and at most you only need to enter your ID number and admission ticket number.

First, let’s talk about the National Level 2 and Level 3 Psychological Counselor Professional Qualification Certificate that was most frequently asked about before 2017. This certificate is valid for life. To check the score or verify it, just go to the “Skilled Talent Evaluation Network” (formerly the National Vocational Qualification Network). You can check it by entering your name and ID number. Don’t trust any third-party agency that collects service fees for checking and is purely making money with poor information. Oh, by the way, this exam has officially been withdrawn from the National Vocational Qualification Catalog in 2017. Now, if an organization tells you that you can take the new Level 2 or Level 3 exam and you can check your scores online, it is 100% a liar. Don’t hesitate.

Nowadays, many people take the Certificate of Competence in the Basic Training of Psychological Counseling of the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The results and certificate inquiries are all on the official website of the School of Continuing Education of the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. This exam can only be registered through the official training institution. Individuals cannot register for it independently. The results will be available in about 20 working days after the exam, and the connecting institution will also notify the students simultaneously. There is no need to search for a general entrance. One more thing to mention here is that this is a training certificate, not a nationally recognized professional qualification certificate. Don't be fooled by the agency's propaganda into a "national psychological counselor certificate."

If you are taking the Psychotherapist Professional and Technical Qualification Examination organized by the National Health Commission, of course you won’t be able to find it in the wrong place. You have to go to the China Health Talent Network to check your score, which is at the same entrance as the nurse qualification and physician qualification exams. This is a professional title in the health series. After passing the exam, you can enter the hospital psychology department to practice. The registration threshold is also high. You must be a psychology or medicine-related major and have corresponding work experience to apply. It is not the same as the training certificate mentioned above. The channel for checking scores is naturally not universal.

There are also some psychological counseling-related assessments organized separately by local governments in the early years. For example, Shanghai and Guangdong have issued locally certified counselor certificates. The scores and certificates can be checked on the official website of the corresponding local human resources and social security department. It is normal that the cross-regional system cannot check them. Don’t think that you have obtained a fake certificate. If you are participating in the assessment of psychological counseling training classes and courses set up by the university, you can check directly with the project team or the school's academic affairs system, and there will be no unified entrance to the outside world.

In the past two years, the industry has been arguing about whether to build a unified inquiry portal. One school of thought believes that it is necessary to integrate test scores, practice records, and complaints. When visitors look for consultants, they can verify their qualifications with just one search, saving a bunch of people with pheasant certificates from disrupting the market. However, there are also many senior counselors who have been working for more than ten years who feel that it is not necessary. After all, psychological counseling is ultimately a practical job. Some people can get full marks in the exam but get stuck after taking the first case. Some have never taken the unified examination but have a solid training background and a good reputation for cases. If a unified entrance is implemented, it will easily become a hard threshold of "score-only theory" and block out truly capable practitioners.

When I recruit consultants myself, I never regard test scores as the first screening criterion. Instead, I first check whether the consultant has registered with a formal industry association. For example, the public inquiry portal of the registration system of the Chinese Psychological Society is very practical. You can see the complete training background and length of supervision of registered psychologists and supervisors, which is much more reliable than a single cold test score.

To be honest, the entire industry is still in the process of standardization, and it is a bit troublesome not to have a unified query entrance. But think about it from another perspective, if you meet a counselor who says that he has a "high score certificate on the National Unified Psychological Counseling Examination" but can't even tell where to check his certificate, then you need to consider his professionalism more - after all, a counselor who can really help people is much more vivid than an exam certificate.
